About Us

College of Health Technology Aliade is a Private owned institution located in Aliade Gwer-East Local Government Area of Benue State. It was established July, 2010, and fully accredited by the Community Health practitioners registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) in March 2018

The idea of establishing an institution for training of Health workers was conceived by a young fore-sighted medical Doctor David Iorshagher Maor and his loving wife, Mrs. Comfort Maor. Dr Maor’s experience as a medical Doctor exposed him to a gross lack of Health personnel in our ruler communities.

Milestones & Achievements

Since accreditation by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria on 8th March 2018, the College has steadily grown in population, programmes, and recognition. Key achievements include successful student indexing (2019), approval of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science by MLSCN (2019), a strategic MoU with Federal Medical Centre Makurdi (2019), and the graduation of the first batch of students in 2021. These milestones laid a strong foundation for national recognition and continued academic excellence.

Majors, minors & graduate programs

College of Health Technology Aliade offers diploma and certificates programs in health-related fields. Some of the courses offered are two or three years programs.

Department of Community Health

This school offers courses in community health extension work. The courses are designed to train students on how to provide basic health care services to people in rural communities.

Department of Medical Laboratory Science

This school offers courses in medical laboratory science. The courses are designed to train students on how to perform laboratory tests that help diagnose and treat diseases.
